This Italian-American classic can be assembled early in the day, refrigerated, and baked when needed. Use 3 cups of your favorite store-bought tomato sauce if time is short.

Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Milanese cutlets
- 3 cups Tomato Sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella or 6 ounces mozzarella, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan (2 ounces)
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Directions

Position a rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Lightly oil a 13×9-inch baking dish.

Spoon 1 cup of the sauce into the baking dish.

Arrange the chicken cutlets over the sauce, slightly overlapping them.

Sprinkle with 1/4 cup grated Parmesan.

Spoon over the remaining sauce.

Top with:
- shredded/sliced mozzarella
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan

Cover the dish with foil and bake until heated through, 20 to 30 minutes.

To brown the top, remove the foil and place the dish briefly under a hot broiler.

Serve hot, sprinkled with chopped parsley.
